Who's behind this
Goodboy Atlas is an independent, evidence-based pet calculator hub run by Carl, a long-time pet owner who got tired of food-brand calculators with hidden agendas. We publish nine calculators covering age, calorie needs, treats, water intake, crate sizing, lifetime cost, and cross-species comparisons. Every formula cites its source. The methodology is brand-neutral and stays brand-neutral.
Partnerships we welcome
- Display advertising — programmatic via Google AdSense (open inventory) and direct buys for brands who want guaranteed placement. Standard ad units, clearly labeled, never influencing the calculator math.
- Veterinary content review — practising DVMs interested in attaching a "reviewed by" credit to our methodology pages. This is the E-E-A-T signal that helps Goodboy Atlas rank in YMYL search queries, and it's mutually valuable. Paid engagement.
- Non-food affiliate — manufacturers of crates, water fountains, scales, beds, harnesses, treat puzzles, and pet-care books. We add contextual product links where they're genuinely useful, with full affiliate disclosure.
- Content syndication or licensing — vet clinics, breeders, shelters, and rescue organisations who want to embed our calculators on their sites with attribution. We offer white-label widget licensing.
- Methodology contributions — researchers, vet schools, or breed associations with peer-reviewed sources to add. We'll cite you and link out.
What we won't do
- Tilt a calculator's math because a sponsor asked us to.
- Recommend a specific food brand inside calculator results, FAQ answers, or methodology pages, regardless of payment.
- Sponsored content disguised as editorial. Anything paid is clearly labelled "Sponsored" or "Partnership."
- Affiliate or refer products we wouldn't choose ourselves.
- Sell, share, or rent user emails. Newsletter sign-ups are for site-related content only.
Audience profile
Detailed traffic figures will be available after our first full quarter live. The site launched in 2026 with a complete catalogue of nine calculators and 150 SSG pages targeting long-tail pet-care queries. Audience skews toward English-speaking pet owners in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia, with significant query overlap to senior-pet care and multi-pet households.
